This Privacy Policy explains how AmortPay, LLC ("AmortPay," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our payment and account-servicing software and related websites and messages (the "Service"). AmortPay provides software to independent auto dealers and their customers.

Information we collect

  • Account information you or your dealer provide, such as name, dealership, mailing address, email address, and mobile phone number.
  • Payment information, processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card or bank numbers on our systems.
  • Account and loan details, such as your vehicle, balance, payment schedule, and payment history.
  • Usage and device information, such as log data and general location, collected as you use the Service.

How we use information

We use information to provide and operate the Service: to set up and service accounts, process payments, send account and transactional communications, prevent fraud, meet legal and regulatory obligations, and improve the Service.

Text messaging (SMS)

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

If you opt in by checking the SMS consent box when you sign up, we send you account, setup status, and payment notifications, for example one-time login codes, setup updates, and payment confirmations and reminders, from AmortPay and the dealer that services your account.

  • Message frequency varies based on your account activity.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at team@amortpay.com.
  • Text messages are how we send account, setup, and payment notices, so agreeing to receive them is required to open a dealer account. They are service messages about your own account, never promotional. You can stop them at any time by replying STOP.

How we share information

We share information with service providers that help us operate the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it, including Stripe (payments), Twilio (text messaging, used solely to deliver messages you have consented to receive, never for marketing), and our hosting and infrastructure providers. We share account information with the dealer that services your account. We may share information when required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service and to meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations. Financial and account records may be retained for the periods required by law.

Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, and you can export your data, subject to legal recordkeeping requirements. Contact us at team@amortpay.com. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the date above.
